Drake Releases Three New Tracks Featuring Playboi Carti

Drake’s Instagram burner account @plottttwistttttt has unveiled new content, featuring three unreleased tracks: “Circadian Rhythm,” “SOD,” and “No Face,” with the latter featuring a collaboration with Playboi Carti. This surprising drop adds excitement to the end of the week for fans eagerly anticipating new music releases.

One of the tracks, “SOD,” had actually been leaked earlier as “Supersoak” by influencer and streamer Kai Cenat. The leaked version included a verse from Lil Yachty. However, the song’s release encountered some hurdles. According to Variety, the delay was due to a sample clearance issue with Mr. HotSpot, who refused to approve the sample unless a clean version was made, adhering to his religious beliefs.

Subsequently, it appears tensions grew, leading Lil Yachty to unfollow Drake on Instagram.

In recent discussions, hip-hop’s leading critics have dubbed Kendrick Lamar the victor in the rap beef that has dominated social media’s audio streaming. Hearing Drake’s new song “Circadian Rhythm” might change some minds. The track’s name itself seems to respond to Lamar’s “6:16 in LA,” where he references the power and consequences of being a shooting star with circadian rhythms.

Drake seems to align his song as a counterargument to Lamar’s assertions in “6:16 in LA.”

“No Face” continues to show Drake’s knack for addressing his adversaries. In this track, he delivers scathing lines about those who have betrayed or envied him, rapping, “I’m just so happy that n—s who envied and held that shit in got to finally show it / I’m over the moon, yeah, we’ll see you boys soon.”

These three tracks follow another recent release by Drake through 100gigs.org, which included behind-the-scenes footage, studio sessions, unreleased material, and various collaborations. This steady stream of content demonstrates Drake’s relentless work ethic and commitment to engaging his audience with fresh and intriguing music.
