Ed Sheeran Roasts Fan for Mishearing ‘Thinking Out Loud’ Lyrics

Ed Sheeran is having some fun with his fans, especially those with poor hearing. Recently, he teased a fan, suggesting she’s probably on a watchlist because she misheard a famous line from one of his songs.

In his hit song “Thinking Out Loud,” Sheeran sings about loving someone “until we’re 70,” highlighting the idea of enduring love. However, some fans jokingly questioned what happens to that love once someone turns 71. This sparked a viral trend of fans humorously flipping off the camera, implying they’re no longer loved by Sheeran once they reach 71.

Never one to miss an opportunity for humor, Sheeran joined in on the joke. He posted his own video, playfully flipping off the camera before dramatically walking away with his guitar slung over his back.

While many fans found this amusing, there was a surprising twist for some. Several fans realized for the first time that Sheeran sings “70” and not “17” as they previously thought.

One woman shared her confusion in the comments, to which Sheeran jokingly replied, “You’re on a watch list somewhere.”

Currently, Sheeran is in the midst of his Mathematics tour, with upcoming shows scheduled this weekend in Cyprus.
