Chris Hemsworth, his wife Elsa Pataky, and their family enjoyed a special celebratory long weekend.

While Americans were celebrating Labor Day, Hemsworth and his family in Australia were honoring Father’s Day.

The couple began dating in September 2010 after being introduced by Hemsworth’s talent agent. They married three months later in a surprise, intimate wedding over Christmas in Australia. They have three children: daughter India, 12, and twins Sasha and Tristan, 10.

In celebration of Australian Father’s Day, Elsa shared a heartfelt tribute to Chris on Instagram, showcasing candid, at-home photos of their family.

The post began with a goofy family selfie at the beach, followed by pictures of the kids cuddling in bed with their dad and horseback riding through the mountains.

Other throwbacks included a photo of the family enjoying s’mores and a bonfire, Chris paddle boarding with a Santa hat, and an image of the kids sitting on his lap while he read them a book.

“Happy Father’s Day to the dad who does it all!!” Elsa captioned her post, humorously adding, “He is almost perfect!!!”

She added, “We love you soooo much! Hope all the dads had an amazing Father’s Day!” Fans quickly responded with warm comments celebrating the touching photos.

Some fans were struck by Chris’ resemblance to his brother Liam Hemsworth in one of the bonfire photos. Comments ranged from “Beautiful family!” to “Happy Father’s Day! Wish you all the best!”

Despite his Hollywood status, Chris has been living in Australia since 2015. He moved to Byron Bay, south of Australia’s Gold Coast, initially to be closer to his parents but also driven by his evolving relationship with Hollywood’s superficiality.

Now, Chris lives in a town where he’s seen as a true local. Locals describe him as “one of us,” and his home offers plenty to keep the family entertained. It’s close to the beach and includes an “enormous” fish tank, plus their dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, donkeys, and horses on a nearby farm.

Their daughter India, named after Indiana Jones, is an animal lover. She enjoys a Disney princess-like life, complete with birds that perch on her shoulder in her enclosed balcony.
