‘Emily in Paris’ Star Lucas Bravo Suggests Series End with a ‘Threesome’

An Emily in Paris ménage à trois, anyone? Star Lucas Bravo is saying “mais, oui” to the idea.

Bravo would like to see the relationship between the show’s main love triangle of Emily (Lily Collins), Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), and Gabriel (Bravo) resolved with a threesome, he joked while speaking to Extra at the Netflix rom-com’s season 4 premiere on Wednesday.

“From what I gathered it should end up in a threesome, and like everybody is happy, and the world is reunited,” Bravo said, to which the outlet clarified, “Like a throuple?”

“A throuple, yeah, sorry, sorry! Poor choice of words. Or maybe not,” he said, laughing.

Season 4 of Emily in Paris picks up after the dramatic events of Camille (Camille Razat) and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding at the end of season 3, which saw Alfie storm off after learning the truth about Gabriel and Emily’s feelings for each other. Much of the new season centers around Emily trying to fix things with both men, and sees her trying to answer once and for all which one she wants to be with.

Bravo admitted that, as always with Emily in Paris, it’s all a bit messy. “Darren [Star, showrunner] is all about chaos,” he said. “I don’t know how he sleeps at night. It gets worse.”

He continued, “I’ll let you discover it, but it was definitely more fun to play this season, for me, because when you start reconnecting to love and being playful again, it’s less about chasing after Emily and more about trying to play around it, and it was more fun for me to play this season.”

Elsewhere this season, fans can expect more work drama, in particular for Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), who is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, all while Agence Grateau navigates some shakeups on the team. Mindy (Ashley Park) and the band prepare for Eurovision, but are forced to get creative when money runs out. And, of course, there’s Camille’s pregnancy complicating matters, but Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is once again on full display as the duo continue to work together toward a Michelin star — although two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.

Or, as Bravo put it to Extra, the new episodes can best be summed up in three words: “Vulnerable, confrontation, and passion.” Très bien!

The first five episodes comprising part 1 of season 4 of Emily in Paris premiered on Netflix Thursday. Part 2 premieres on Sept. 12 and will consist of five more episodes.
