ESPN’s Malika Andrews Shares Significant Personal News

During the NBA season, Malika Andrews is the go-to source for league updates, thanks to her role as a television host. But with the offseason upon us, she’s making headlines for a more personal reason.

Andrews, known for her work on ESPN’s “NBA Today” and “NBA Countdown,” has been a prominent figure in NBA coverage since she started as a sideline reporter during the 2020 bubble season.

In 2022, the 29-year-old began dating ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin. Their first meeting was back in 2017 when they both covered a New York Knicks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game. Perhaps you could say ESPN acted as a relationship matchmaker that night.

While they kept their relationship under wraps, rumors eventually started buzzing, and their engagement was confirmed.

Now, Andrews posted photos on Instagram from their wedding, which took place on August 24.

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it… 8.24.24…,” she captioned the post.

Andrews and McMenamin’s wedding has gathered attention well beyond the sports community, catching the eye of ‘Vogue.’ The fashion magazine showcased their special day, which took place at the Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito, California.

McMenamin, 41, has been with ESPN since 2009, beginning his career covering the Los Angeles Lakers as a beat reporter and TV analyst. Over the years, he’s become a key figure in sports media, significantly contributing to “NBA Today,” “SportsCenter,” ESPN The Magazine, and more.

Although Andrews is originally from Oakland, California, and McMenamin is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the two will return to Los Angeles, where they lived together previously.
