Everything About Presley, Grayson, and Layla

Country music icon Tanya Tucker takes immense pride in being a mother to three children: Presley, Beau, and Layla.

The legendary “Delta Dawn” singer first embraced motherhood in 1989 with the birth of her daughter, Presley, with actor Ben Reed. The family expanded in 1991 with the arrival of their son Beau, also known as Grayson. Although Tanya and Ben later parted ways, she completed her family in 1999 by welcoming daughter Layla, fathered by songwriter Jerry Laseter.

Despite not adhering to the traditional family structure, Tanya drew inspiration from her “incredible parents” to raise her children with love and care.

“Best things I ever did!!! My three youngins, Presley Tanita, Beau Grayson and Layla LaCosta. So grateful and proud to be their Momma,” Tanya expressed on Facebook in 2020.

In 2005, Tanya and her children starred in a reality show, “Tuckerville,” giving fans a glimpse into their lives. Music is a family affair, as all three children have pursued careers in the industry and have remained supportive of their mother, appearing by her side at events like the 2023 CMT “Smashing Glass” celebration.

Presley Tanita Tucker arrived on July 5, 1989, and has felt a strong bond with her mother since birth. Tanya recalled the significant moment of Presley’s birth, sharing her joy and surprise at her daughter’s beauty.

Presley fondly remembers her childhood filled with excitement and travel, as she accompanied Tanya on the road while balancing a normal school life. She followed in her mother’s musical footsteps, performing alongside Tanya, who once surprised her with a birthday cake during a show in Tulsa in 2022.

For Mother’s Day and other occasions, Presley has shared heartfelt messages celebrating her special relationship with Tanya.

Beau Grayson Tucker, born on October 2, 1991, was named after Tanya’s beloved father, Beau Tucker. Tanya recounted how the name was inadvertently revealed at the CMAs by Clint Black, surprising her father.

Beau, who spent his formative years in Nashville before moving to San Diego for junior college and football, eventually returned to his roots in Tennessee. Like his sisters, Beau is musically inclined, singing and playing guitar. He also accompanies Tanya on tour while working on his music independently.

Layla LaCosta Laseter, born on June 25, 1999, is Tanya’s youngest child with Jerry Laseter. Named partly in honor of Tanya’s sister, Layla has demonstrated her musical talents as both a singer and songwriter, a gift she attributes to her father.

In 2023, Layla had the opportunity to open for Tanya’s concert at The Ryman in Nashville. She has released several singles, including “Misery and Gin” and “Moonshine.” Layla’s admiration for her mother is evident in her social media tributes, expressing pride in Tanya’s achievements and recognition in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Layla also cherishes her romantic relationship with fellow musician Adrian Berryhill, often sharing loving messages and appreciation on social media.

Tanya Tucker’s enduring influence and success in country music are complemented by the close bond she shares with her children, all of whom continue to uphold her legacy in the music world.
