Everything We Know About Clipse’s ‘Let God Sort Em Out’ Album

Pusha T and Malice have officially reunited as Clipse, sparking excitement among their fans. Despite no confirmed release date for their new album, Let God Sort Em Out, the duo has been teasing the project for a while.

The anticipation grew on June 20 when Clipse held an official listening party, signaling that a new album release is imminent. As fans eagerly await the long-anticipated album, here’s a detailed look at what we know about Clipse’s first new project in 15 years.

In June, Clipse previewed their first track since 2009 at Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Spring-Summer 2025 event. The song, “Birds Don’t Sing,” features John Legend and has deep personal significance for Malice. He shared with Rolling Stone that he penned some lines right before his father’s passing: “I can hear your voice now, I can feel your presence/Askin’, ‘Should I rap again?,’ you gave me your blessing.”

Malice elaborated, “We were sitting in the car. And I asked him, ‘What do you think about me rapping again?’ He said, ‘Son, I think you’ve been too hard on yourself. You still have to get out here in this world. You still got to take care of your family.’ My dad was a deacon in the church, so he was heavy on Jesus. For him to be able to say that gave me encouragement. I feel like some chains were broken from that conversation.”

Clipse’s new album, Let God Sort Em Out, will be entirely produced by Pharrell. This is particularly noteworthy because Pusha T had famously criticized their last album, Til the Casket Drops, also produced entirely by The Neptunes cofounder.

In an interview with Vulture in June, Pusha T expressed excitement about working with Pharrell again. “Pharrell producing everything is also an ode to the type of music and the type of albums we want to make,” he explained. “We still want to make full bodies of work. These are movies, man. These aren’t just songs. This isn’t just a collection of joints we went in and banged out.”

Pusha T also shared with Rolling Stone that Pharrell’s enthusiasm is contagious and sometimes overwhelming. “Pharrell says, ‘We gonna keep going!’ Pharrell calls with that energy every morning, bro. ‘I was listening to the album in the truck last night. I’m going to try some new shit tomorrow.’ I’m like, ‘Come on, bro. Get the mix done with this one.’”

Fans of Clipse’s signature style can expect plenty of coke raps on Let God Sort Em Out, as Pusha T has promised. In his interview with Vulture, he addressed the criticism they’ve faced over the years, asserting that those who label their work as such “can’t even assess what’s really being said or what’s going on.” He also hinted at a coke-themed line involving the Brittney Griner prisoner swap, according to Rolling Stone.

Multiple features on the album have been confirmed, including one from Nas, who Clipse has reportedly been pursuing for years. According to the duo, the only delay in the album’s release is waiting on a verse from one artist.

“I’m so excited about this new Clipse album,” Push mentioned on the Ghetto Runways podcast in August. “That’s what I’m on right now. It’s absolutely finished. Just waiting on a feature. Just waiting on a feature, bro. Just one feature.”

Clipse informed Rolling Stone that the album is expected to drop later this year. With only a few months left before 2025, this timeline suggests that fans might get a taste of the new album in the coming weeks. A release from Clipse would be a monumental way to cap off a fantastic year for hip-hop music.
