‘Ewan Mitchell on Why His Full-Frontal Scene in ‘House of the Dragon’ Shocked Him’
Ewan Mitchell recently left viewers stunned with a full-frontal nude scene on a pivotal episode of House of the Dragon. Known for playing Prince Aemond Targaryen, Mitchell shared some behind-the-scenes details during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The conversation with Fallon started with Mitchell and co-star Fabien Frankel, who portrays Ser Criston Cole, discussing the oppressive heat of their usual on-set wardrobes. Mitchell’s satisfaction with a naked scene in the show’s second season seemed short-lived when he realized the set was unexpectedly cold.

“I thought I’d work it and I’d be, like, the perfect temperature for those scenes,” Mitchell explained. However, he was in for a surprise. Taken to a different studio, he humorously described the new filming location as “like a fridge freezer.” He added, “It was a shock to the system. A shock to the naked body.”
Jokingly, he added, “I hope you enjoyed it and I hope my mother is OK with it.”

In recent episodes of House of the Dragon, Aemond has been seeking solace in the company of a brothel madam named Sylvi, portrayed by Michelle Bonnard. This follows his remorse after killing Lucerys Velaryon in the previous season. However, a visit from his brother, King Aegon II, played by Tom Glynn-Carney, resulted in Aegon ridiculing him for staying with the prostitute he lost his virginity to. The tense moment culminates in Aemond defiantly revealing his fully naked body as he leaves the room.
