Ex-BBC Studios Drama Chief Priscilla Parish Joins Sky Studios

Former BBC Studios drama boss Priscilla Parish has made a notable career shift by joining Sky Studios as Senior Executive Producer in the scripted team.

This move comes soon after the announcement that Zai Bennett is leaving Sky to helm BBC Studios Productions.

Parish had a distinguished tenure at BBC Studios, where she served as head of drama for several years. During her time there, she executive produced several high-profile projects including BBC Three’s “Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story,” the second series of the critically acclaimed prison drama “Time,” the thriller “We Hunt Together” for UKTV and Showtime, and the long-running series “Silent Witness.”

Parish exited BBC Studios last year and was succeeded by Kate Oates. Her resume also includes a stint at “Line of Duty” producer, World Productions.

Starting her role at Sky Studios in August, Parish will report to Meghan Lyvers, Director of Original Series. Her responsibilities include collaborating with independent production companies and Sky’s in-house production team to oversee the development and delivery of upcoming Sky Originals, such as “The Day of the Jackal” and the Nick Cave adaptation “The Death of Bunny Munro.”

“Priscilla brings a wealth of experience to this role at a very exciting time for us,” said Lyvers. “As we look to launch some of our most ambitious original shows to date, with even more on the horizon, she’s the perfect fit to bolster our scripted team and we all can’t wait to work with her.”

Parish expressed her enthusiasm about the new role, stating, “Sky Studios has made a name for releasing big, bold, and ambitious dramas. I’m thrilled to be joining the drama team at this exciting time. It’s a place brimming with possibilities and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
