James highlighted that their body language suggested they were like-minded as parents, forming a united bond. The two seemed entirely comfortable and engaged in their conversation, showing a level of subliminal mirroring. Even when the children were distracted, Garner and Affleck continued their relaxed interaction.

Their middle child, Fin, also attended the family dinner. Garner and the kids reportedly looked at Affleck with expressions of pride, warmth, and fondness. James noted that this likely provided the emotional support Affleck needs, leading to a noticeable change in his body language.

In contrast, Affleck’s body language around Jennifer Lopez tells a different story. Rumors suggest that Lopez and Affleck may have already signed divorce papers, though they haven’t officially submitted them. In June 2024, body language expert Blanca Cobb commented to Fox News Digital that Affleck and Lopez appeared “cordial,” but not necessarily in love, during Affleck’s son’s basketball game.

“It’s a kiss on the cheek, like when you see a friend. Even his stance, the way his body is angled, is more platonic than romantic,” Cobb explained. “And his feet are in a runner’s pose as if he’s there for a few seconds before he moves on.”

Lopez’s body language seemed “reserved and protective,” according to Cobb. “She looks guarded, holding her purse close to her midsection as if to shield herself psychologically.”

Besides his marital issues with Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck has been focused on other important matters. A source revealed to People that he is particularly concentrated on sending his 18-year-old daughter, Violet, to Yale. This period has also brought him closer to Garner.
