‘Face to Face With Scott Peterson’ Docuseries: Peacock Premiere Date, Trailer

Timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Scott Peterson’s conviction for the murders of his wife Laci and unborn son Connor, Peacock has announced a summer premiere date for *Face to Face with Scott Peterson*. This three-part true crime docuseries will revisit the notorious case and features Peterson’s first on-camera interview since 2003. The series will also delve into recent developments following the Los Angeles Innocence Project taking on Scott’s case in early 2024. The premiere is set for August 20, exclusively on Peacock.

*Face to Face with Scott Peterson* promises an exclusive series of intimate conversations directed by Shareen Anderson, who has spent over a decade investigating the case. The docuseries not only includes interviews with Peterson himself but also features his sister-in-law Janey Peterson, former Modesto Police Department lead detective Al Brocchini, detective Jon Buehler, Scott’s former defense attorney Lara Yeretsian, and former ABC News Producer Mike Gudgell, among others.

The series’ official description hints at a detailed exploration of the case that captivated the nation. Laci Peterson, who was eight months pregnant at the time, went missing on Christmas Eve in 2002. As the investigation unfolded, her husband Scott was exposed as a liar and cheater, and he was eventually convicted of her murder and sentenced to death. The trial garnered extensive media attention, and many believed the case was closed with his conviction.

However, for the first time since his arrest in 2003, Scott Peterson will share his side of the story in a series of candid conversations with Director Shareen Anderson. These discussions aim to shed light on possible inconsistencies in the evidence and explore alternative theories surrounding Laci’s murder. Scott’s family and experts close to the case have spent over 20 years committed to uncovering new information, and the series will highlight these efforts.

In a surprising development, the Los Angeles Innocence Project has taken on Scott Peterson’s case in 2024, which the docuseries will also cover. This move may bring unexpected turns in a case many thought was resolved.

*Face to Face with Scott Peterson* is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studios. Executive producers for the series are Liz Yale Marsh, Shareen Anderson, Po Kutchins, and Tim Clancy.
