Fans Are Buzzing About Lady Deadpool in the Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer

Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool seems like a natural fit, especially since she could easily commute to the set with her husband, Ryan Reynolds. However, that might be too predictable. Imagine the comedic twist if trailers for “Deadpool and Wolverine” teased Lively as Lady Deadpool, only for the role to be played by someone entirely different. Morena Baccarin, who portrays Deadpool’s love interest Vanessa, could be an interesting choice. Her playing Lady Deadpool could bring a sweet “I’ll love you in every universe” theme to the story.

There’s also a lot of speculation and hope that Taylor Swift might have a role in “Deadpool and Wolverine.” Swift is friends with Lively and Reynolds, making her involvement in the movie a plausible idea. A user, @SinFABTCG, commented on social media, “So we’re all in agreeance it would absolutely be Ryan Reynolds humor to have Taylor Swift play Lady Deadpool right?” This fueled further speculation, especially since some thought Swift might play the X-Men character Dazzler in “Deadpool 3,” based on a lyric from her album “The Tortured Poets Department.”

However, Entertainment Weekly recently confirmed that Swift is not involved in “Deadpool and Wolverine.” Unless this is a deliberate misdirection, it’s best for her fans not to expect any cameo from the pop superstar.
