Fans Fume as ‘Jeopardy!’ and ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Pulled from Streaming Platform

Game show enthusiasts are currently disheartened. As reported by The U.S. Sun, both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune have been pulled from Pluto TV. These iconic game shows previously had dedicated 24/7 channels on the streaming service, available for free. However, as of Wednesday, July 31, this is no longer the case. The Jeopardy! channel was especially cherished as it featured reruns from the esteemed Alex Trebek’s era, making its removal particularly painful for fans.

These removals coincide with the summer hiatuses of both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. As a result, aside from reruns available on broadcast TV, fans no longer have the convenience of watching their favorite episodes on demand. Many viewers took to Reddit to express their dismay over the suddenness of the removal and how deeply it affected them.

In discussions on Reddit, some users noted that both the Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune channels were no longer accessible. One user speculated, “The original deal for both channels starting back in 2022 was only for two years, so I’m guessing it’s expired; there’s a chance it could move to yet another streaming service, but I hope it stays on Pluto. It’s so much more convenient.”

The convenience factor mentioned by the user likely refers to Pluto TV’s free access model, which only involves watching occasional ads. Another benefit was the 24/7 availability of these channels, allowing fans to tune in at any time. Pluto TV features hundreds of 24/7 live channels, catering to various genres, networks, or specific shows. Sadly, it appears that the journey of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune on Pluto TV has come to an end, at least for the time being.

One fan highlighted that Season 40 of Jeopardy! was just concluding and they had intended to enjoy the show on Pluto TV until Season 41 launched in September. Vulture has confirmed that Pluto TV’s deals with both shows have ended, but it remains uncertain whether new agreements will be pursued. Unfortunately, neither show is currently available on any other streaming service, aside from their celebrity spinoffs, which are both streaming on Hulu.

“A moment of silence, please,” one fan wrote, while another expressed hopes that the removal is only temporary as they will “be completely bummed with no Jeopardy!” It’s unclear whether Pluto TV will negotiate new agreements for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! For now, fans may have to rely on television reruns to keep the nostalgic experience alive, even though it may not fully satisfy their cravings.
