Fans Praise Latto’s “No Skips” Album, Call It “Drake-Coded”

Latto released her third studio album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, today (Aug 9). Fans have praised the album upon first listen, with many taking to social media to proclaim that it has “no skips.” This is a significant achievement for the rapper known as the “Georgia Peach,” as the album consists of a robust 17 tracks. Excluding “Disc 2,” the album features previous singles like “Put It On The Floor,” “Put It On The Floor Again” featuring Cardi B, and both the original and remixed versions of her track, “Sunday Service.”

“Latto don’t have any skips on her album. I didn’t even realize I listened to the entire album until PIODF played lol. Latto slid,” shared one fan via X/Twitter. Another remarked, “well sugar honey iced tea got no skips and is versatile asf…latto come get your rap aoty crown.”

“Honestly this album is a masterpiece, no skips at all. @Latto this is your best piece of work #SugarHoneyIcedTea,” stated another supporter. Echoing similar sentiments, another fan chimed in, “All bops. No skips!! Literally EVERY song on the album is on my playlist and that doesn’t happen often. Latto, Latto, Latto this is the one.”

While the critics have yet to weigh in, the people have spoken. Check out Latto getting her flowers for Sugar Honey Iced Tea below.

In addition to the praise, many listeners noticed a bit of influence from Drake, dubbing the album “Drake-coded.” Tracks like the single “Big Mama,” the opening track “Georgia Peach,” and the closer “S/O to Me” have inspired these comparisons.

“I like this Latto album cuz it’s like if Drake was a girl from Atlanta,” wrote one fan about the influence. Another added, “This album is so Drake coded. It’s a 10/10 for me @Latto #SugarHoneyIcedTea.”

“Latto album is VERY Drake coded !!!!!!! But that’s an amazing thing !!!” Another follower stated, “‘S/O To Me’ is so Drake coded, I LOVE IT. @Latto the album is WONDERFUL YOU DID THAT GWORL!!!!”

The influence shouldn’t come as a surprise. The two rappers have spent some time together recently, with Drake releasing a never-before-heard Latto feature this week as part of his 100GB dump. Additionally, the Toronto artist was said to have dated Latto’s sister, Brooklyn Nicole.
