Sydney needed a pair of “work boots” because she didn’t bring hers. She asked Mitchell to get her a pair, and he gave her a pair of “girl boots” that more than likely belonged to one of his previous girlfriends. Sydney even joked that Mitch must have “the same taste in women’s feet” because the boots fit her perfectly.

While Sydney could have taken the idea of wearing an ex’s boots the wrong way, she took it in stride, even thanking the previous owner for their “donation.”

Not all Farmer Wants A Wife fans took this hand-me-down gesture as well as Sydney did. Although practical, many felt that Mitch giving Sydney boots that belonged to a previous girlfriend was in poor taste.
