FBI Investigates Harassment of Speaker ‘Mrs. Frazzled’ for Dystopian Speech

Someone needs a time out! Or perhaps a lengthy prison sentence.

Last month’s much-discussed “White Women For Kamala” Zoom call has escalated into serious legal territory. Following the event, one of the speakers, Arielle Fodor, faced a barrage of death threats, harassing phone calls, and “doxxing” attacks. This situation has led to an FBI investigation and a court hearing.

Arielle Fodor, a former teacher turned social media star, has amassed over a million followers on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. She’s well-known for her comedic yet insightful content focused on the world of education.

In her recurring bit, Fodor, portraying her character “Mrs. Frazzled,” humorously reenacts stereotypically non-PC aunts and uncles as if they were toddlers. She uses her skills as a kindergarten teacher to humorously set them straight. Her unique blend of comedy and commentary has struck a chord with many.

The “White Women For Kamala” call was organized by Shannon Watts and invited Fodor to share advice on how white women should interact with social media users of color leading up to the election. Fodor mixed heartfelt advice with her staple “Mrs. Frazzled” schtick, asking viewers to “use their listening ears” when engaging with diverse followers.

However, some powerful online right-wing figures, including X owner Elon Musk and Daily Wire commentator Ben Shapiro, didn’t take kindly to her approach. They seemed to think Fodor genuinely addressed the Zoom attendees as if they were toddlers.

Their followers, upon discovering her videos gently mocking imaginary right-wing relatives, quickly lost their cool. The speech was labeled as “woke,” “dystopian,” and likened to an episode of “Black Mirror,” a dark satire series about technology and politics.

As a result, Fodor began receiving harassing phone calls, threats sent to her family, and pizzas delivered to her home, presumably to demonstrate that the harassers knew her address. In all, she counted 11 death threats. This prompted her to contact the authorities.

“I was shocked by the violence and aggression [of the response],” Fodor shared, “That’s what I’m not used to. I’m used to people being rude [online]. But this was so aggressive. It’s scary.”

On Monday, attorneys will be seeking a restraining order against one particularly persistent harasser. Despite these frightening experiences, Fodor remains undeterred. Instead, she feels that the backlash underscores the importance of her work.

“It just proves that it’s necessary to have places [online] to let out our frustration [amidst the fraught political climate],” Fodor explained.

Fodor taught kindergarten from 2018 to 2021 and started her TikTok account in March 2020 as a way to find a community of other teachers during the COVID lockdowns. She paused her teaching career in 2022 after having a daughter.

The “White Women For Kamala” Zoom call had around 160,000 attendees in support of Kamala Harris’s White House campaign and raised over $2 million.
