Fear the Walking Dead Actor Lorenzo Henrie’s Film “Monster Summer”

Fear the Walking Dead actor Lorenza Henrie portrayed Chris Manawa in seasons 1 and 2. He and his brother, actor/director David Henrie, are founding partners at Novo Media Group, which produced the new horror movie Monster Summer, set to be released this fall.

Monster Summer, formerly titled Boys of Summer, is an adventure horror directed by David Henrie (Wizards of Waverly Place). Cornelius Uliano and Bryan Schulz wrote the script with Novo Media Group, Nickel City, Pastime Productions, and Reserve Ent. producing.

The movie is a fun, spooky adventure that follows Noah and his group of friends on Martha’s Vineyard. When mysterious things begin to occur with local children, threatening their summer fun, Noah enlists the help of Gene, a retired detective. Together they go on a monstrous adventure to save their island.

Mason Thames, known for his roles in The Black Phone and Incoming, plays Noah, with Mel Gibson (The Passion of the Christ, What Women Want) as Gene, the retired detective. Additional cast includes Lorraine Bracco (Goodfellas, The Sopranos), Nora Zehetner (The Right Stuff), Kevin James (Paul Blart: Mall Cop), Abby James Witherspoon (Secret Headquarters), Julian Lerner (The Wonder Years), Lilah Pate (Outer Banks), Noah Cottrell (The Spiderwick Chronicles), and Patrick Renna.

Monster Summer releases in theaters on October 4, just in time for spooky season.

Henrie had several other roles before his time on Fear the Walking Dead. He’s appeared in Malcolm in the Middle, 7th Heaven, Ghost Whisperer, Cold Case, CSI: Miami and more. After Fear TWD, he secured roles in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Kevin Can Wait, Only Mine, and This Is the Year.

He was introduced as Chris Manawa during the debut season of Fear the Walking Dead. The son of Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez), Chris acclimates well after the outbreak. When his father is forced to put his mother down when she is bitten, he is traumatized and becomes distant and very angry with his father. In season 2, he becomes involved with a rough group of guys, which eventually leads to his death.

Henrie is married with four children and recently announced on Instagram that he and his wife are expecting a fifth child.
