First Look at Fan-Favorite Character in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Image

A first look has emerged of the creation of a much-loved animatronic for the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie.

On the FNAF – ScottGames official social media account, there have been several behind-the-scenes teasers for the sequel to the successful film adaptation of the horror game series. The mould for a specific animatronic head has quickly generated excitement among fans, who claimed to instantly recognize the character.

FNAF enthusiasts were quick to say that the image suggests Toy Chica will be part of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. Toy Chica originally appeared in the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 video game as a redesigned version of the original cupcake-carrying animatronic, Chica. This more feminine version of the character becomes even creepier when she loses her beak and eyes.

Production on Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 began last month in New Orleans and it is set to release in Fall 2025. This upcoming horror movie is highly anticipated among FNAF fans, especially after the tremendous success of the first movie last year. The first film was released in theaters and simultaneously streamed, yet it still became the best-performing horror movie at the box office in 2023.

Furthermore, Five Nights at Freddy’s became Blumhouse’s most successful movie ever, surpassing M. Night Shyamalan’s Split. It ranks just below A Quiet Place Part 2 in the post-COVID horror box office performance.

Five Nights at Freddy’s features an ensemble cast including Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Matthew Lillard, Piper Rubio, Kat Conner Sterling, Mary Stuart Masterson, Lucas Grant, and Jessica Blackmore. The screenplay is the work of director Emma Tammi, Seth Cuddeback, and Scott Cawthon, the latter of whom created the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. Both Cawthon and Jason Blum serve as producers.
