First Steps Score Debuts at Infinity Saga Concert Experience

Fans at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles were in for a special treat during the debut of Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga Concert Experience on Friday night. Apart from an orchestral journey through the cinematic universe of the Infinity Saga, they were surprised with a post-credits teaser: the debut of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” theme. As reported by The Wrap, composer Michael Giacchino joined conductor Gustavo Dudamel on stage after the concert’s conclusion and asked for “four more minutes”. In those additional minutes, the eagerly awaited theme for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, set to release on July 25, 2025, was unveiled.

This wasn’t the only surprise for fans attending the Friday night event. Earlier in the evening, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige made an appearance, urging fans to stay until the end and announcing that the concert experience would go on a world tour next year. The Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga Concert Experience has been officially described on the Hollywood Bowl’s site. Gustavo Dudamel conducted the Los Angeles Philharmonic in the global premiere of a concert that covers 23 films from the Marvel Studios’ catalog. This includes revisiting iconic moments from Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and other superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), accompanied by their unforgettable music.

The concert also touched on the coming together of Earth’s mightiest heroes for the first time and introduced the next wave of Avengers like Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, and more. Not to be left out, the Guardians of the Galaxy brought a taste of their iconic mixtape, backed by the LA Philharmonic. The spectacle concluded with revisiting the trials of the Infinity Saga, complete with live orchestra, fireworks, 3D Mapping by Xitelabs, light-up PixMob wristbands, surprises, and a crowd of thousands.

Michael Giacchino has previously teased his vision for the upcoming “The Fantastic Four” film. In an interview with Nerd Reactor, he discussed how the music and story for Pixar’s “The Incredibles” (for which he also composed music) may have some similarities with “The Fantastic Four.” However, he emphasized that they would be distinct in many ways. Giacchino expressed his excitement about working on the project, highlighting the fresh and fun approach Matt Shakman, the film’s director, is bringing to the table. He stressed the importance of differentiating the two projects to ensure they each have their own unique identity.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025, and fans are already buzzing with excitement after getting a sneak peek of the film’s theme during the concert experience. Kevin Feige’s announcement of a world tour adds another layer of anticipation, promising a grand experience for Marvel enthusiasts worldwide.

Audiences left the Hollywood Bowl not only with unforgettable memories of the Marvel Cinematic Universe through music but also with high anticipation for what’s to come. The evening seamlessly blended the past, present, and future of the MCU, delivering a unique and spectacular experience that fans will remember for years to come.
