Friend of Travis Kelce shares first impression of Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce’s friend, Baron Corbin, recently shared his impressions of meeting Taylor Swift for the first time. Corbin, a professional wrestler whose real name is Thomas Pestock, is good friends with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

Corbin described Swift as “so nice and so down-to-earth.” He highlighted her humble nature by mentioning that “the moment she meets you, she gives you a hug.” This warmth and approachability, according to Corbin, are rare qualities given her immense level of fame.

Both Kelce and Swift have been enjoying major successes in their careers recently, with Swift’s Grammy wins and Kelce securing his second Super Bowl ring. Corbin noted that Swift loves to have a “good time” and enjoy “a drink” when she hangs out with the NFL players during games. Last season, Swift attended 13 Chiefs games.

“If you lived under a rock and had no idea who Taylor Swift was, you would just think she’s an awesome person,” Corbin said, adding that her humility is “rare” considering her stardom.

Corbin met Swift in December when the Chiefs played the Buffalo Bills. He even posted a selfie with her on X, captioning it with, “Come back crew let’s go! #ChiefsKingdom.”

This is not the first time Kelce’s friends have shared positive experiences about their interactions with Swift. In November, friends of the NFL star emphasized how relatable and humble she is. An insider told People that “Travis’ friends think this is the real deal for him,” adding that they were still a bit shocked that he was dating “the Taylor Swift.” However, they’ve seen how down-to-earth she is with his friends and family.

Travis Kelce himself has spoken about how much everyone enjoys being around Swift. During an October episode of his podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, he mentioned how everyone in the suite had great things to say about her. “It was absolutely electric,” he said. “To see the slow-motion chest bumps, to see the high fives with mom, to see how Chiefs Kingdom was all excited that she was there … it was definitely a game I’ll remember, that’s for damn sure.”

Additionally, Kelce has been supporting Swift on her Eras Tour, traveling to Australia, France, London, and more this summer.
