The Kennedy family is a significant part of American culture, history, and politics. Currently, the spotlight is on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Formerly an Independent presidential candidate, Kennedy recently withdrew his campaign and endorsed Republican Donald Trump. He is one of 11 children of the late Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, a brother of John F. Kennedy, and Ethel Kennedy. Since 1947, at least one member of the Kennedy family has been active in politics. However, RFK Jr. is the first to publicly diverge from the family’s Democratic roots, leading to disapproval from much of his family, who support President Joe Biden and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

At 70, RFK Jr. has a large family himself. In 1982, he married Emily Ruth Black, with whom he had two children. Later, in 1992, he married Mary Kathleen Richardson, and they had four children together. Their marriage ended tragically; after a bitter legal battle following RFK Jr.’s filing for divorce in 2010, Richardson took her own life in 2012. During the divorce proceedings, a 2001 diary detailing RFK Jr.’s affairs with 37 different women was discovered.

The same year, RFK Jr. began dating Cheryl Hines, an actress from “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” They married in 2014.

Robert Francis “Bobby” Kennedy III, born on September 2, 1984, was named after his grandfather and father. Though naturally inclined towards politics, he gravitated towards the entertainment industry. In 2013, he wrote and starred in “Eurotrapped” and later directed “ELEW: Live from Infinity,” a comedic play.

Bobby married former CIA agent Amaryllis Fox in 2017. Known for her memoir “Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA,” Fox also served as RFK Jr.’s campaign manager. The couple has two children, daughter Bobby and son Cassius, and Fox has a daughter named Zoë from a previous relationship.

Kathleen Alexandra “Kick” Kennedy was born on April 13, 1988, named after her great-aunt. A Stanford University graduate, Kick has ventured into acting, philanthropy, and activism. She has also written for various publications.

Kick’s personal life has been in the public eye. She previously dated Harper Simon, son of Paul Simon, and was in a relationship with billionaire Matthew Mellon until his death in 2018. More recently, she has been rumored to be dating Ben Affleck.

Conor Richardson Kennedy, born on July 25, 1994, is known for his short-lived romance with Taylor Swift just before his 18th birthday. In October 2022, he revealed that he had secretly volunteered to fight for Ukraine in the war against Russia, spending some time on the northeastern front without revealing his identity.

Conor is engaged to Brazilian singer Giulia Be as of August 2024.

Kyra LeMoyne Kennedy, born on November 8, 1997, has embraced the socialite lifestyle since turning 18. She debuted at the Bal des Debutantes and frequently attends fashion shows and events in New York City. Kyra is known for her friendships with other famous young socialites like Tiffany Trump, Gaia Matisse, and Olympia of Greece.

William Finbar “Finn” Kennedy, born on November 8, 1997, is the most private of RFK Jr.’s children. A biology student at Brown University, Finn has occasionally stepped into the public eye to advocate for wildlife and climate change efforts.

Aidan Caohman Vieques Kennedy, the youngest, was born on July 13, 2001. When he was born, his father was serving a 30-day prison sentence for trespassing on U.S. Navy land during protests against military bombing exercises on the Puerto Rican island of Vieques.

As of 2022, Aidan is a student at Harvard University.
