Garret Dillahunt Stars in “Shit. Meet. Fan.” at MCC Theater in NY

Actor Garret Dillahunt, known for his roles in *Raising Hope* and *Fear the Walking Dead*, has announced his participation in a new off-Broadway stage production *Shit. Meet. Fan.* slated to premiere in New York this fall.

The satirical play is penned and directed by Tony Award nominee Robert O’Hara (*Slave Play*, *MCC BLKS*, *Bootycandy*) and is inspired by Paolo Genovese’s Italian comedy-drama *Perfect Strangers* (2016). The production team includes set designer Clint Ramos, costume designer Sarafina Bush, lighting designer Alex Jainchill, and sound designer Palmer Hefferan. *Shit. Meet. Fan.* will be showcased at the MCC Theater Space in New York City. Tickets go on sale September 3, with performances kicking off on October 10.

The plot centers around a group of friends who gather on the night of an eclipse to play a game. The rules are simple: phones out, face up, and volume high. Any text, email, notification, or call must be shared aloud. The group, who refuse to grow up, keep the cocktails flowing, leading to unexpected revelations and secrets coming to light.

Dillahunt will take on the role of Brett, while Genevieve Hannelius (*Along for the Ride*) will portray Sam. Tony nominee Billy Magnussen (*Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike*) will play Frank, Emmy-winning Debra Messing (*Will and Grace*) will be Claire, Travmell Tillman (*Severance*) will act as Logan, and Constance Wu (*Crazy Rich Asians*) will portray Hannah.

Dillahunt shared the exciting news on Instagram.

Dillahunt’s recent work includes roles in Viggo Mortensen’s *The Dead Don’t Hurt* and the Orlando Bloom-led *Red Right Hand*. Additionally, he appeared in the Prime Video movie *A Million Miles Away* alongside Michael Peña. On television, he stars in the Starz crime drama *Hightown*, which premiered in May 2024.

Looking ahead, Dillahunt has several upcoming projects such as *Sarah’s Oil* (2025), *Hysteria!* (October 2024), and *High Potential* (September 2024).
