Gigi Hadid ‘Furious’ at Suki Waterhouse Over Bradley Cooper Split Comments

Gigi Hadid is standing by her partner Bradley Cooper amid recent comments made by Cooper’s ex, Suki Waterhouse, regarding their past relationship.

Waterhouse, who dated Cooper over a decade ago, described their breakup as “dark and difficult” in a recent interview with British Vogue. The Burn actress shared that the public nature of the split made it even more isolating, and it has taken her almost a decade to fully come to terms with it.

“I really will say that I’m pretty strong at this point, but when something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you’re actually not doing well, and you can’t explain yourself to the world, that’s very isolating and disorientating. It probably has taken a decade to work myself out and actually be able to have this expansion in my life.”

According to Page Six, Hadid was reportedly “furious” about some of the remarks Waterhouse made and immediately leaped to Cooper’s defense. An insider told the outlet, “Gigi is totally team Bradley and taking this up as her own cause. She isn’t about to let this go.”

Cooper and Waterhouse’s relationship began in 2013 and ended two years later. Waterhouse, who was 21 when she started dating the A Star Is Born actor, referred to her relationships in her twenties as “fetishizations.” She expressed that she has received more respect in her thirties and highlighted the contrast between the two periods of her life.

“I think when you only get loved in that way, you only get punished. When you get into your 30s you’re almost instantly afforded a little bit more respect. It’s kind of delightful and shocking at the same time.”

Since their breakup, both Waterhouse and Cooper have moved on and have welcomed children with their respective partners. Waterhouse is currently with Twilight star Robert Pattinson, while Cooper shares a child with his former partner, model Irina Shayk.

Cooper’s relationship with Hadid became public in January 2024, and the couple has been inseparable ever since.
