Glen Powell Becomes Our New Favorite Dog Dad

Glen Powell stars in the recently released big-screen feature Twisters, a sequel to the original 1996 Twister. Although it’s a sequel, it also stands alone as an enthralling disaster-adventure movie. In Twisters, Powell plays a conceited storm-chaser who craves the spotlight. However, in real life, the actor is known for his down-to-earth personality and his love for dogs, making him a favorite among pet enthusiasts.

In a recent interview with Today, Powell shared how he became a proud dog parent. He even brought his dog, Brisket, to the Twisters premiere, and Brisket stole the show. Powell didn’t seem to mind at all. In fact, he enjoyed it.

Brisket’s story is quite touching. Powell adopted the pup from the Labelle Foundation in Los Angeles in July 2023. “1.5 pounds of raw power,” Powell described his new friend. When discussing his adoption decision, Powell revealed it happened during a tough time as he was going through a breakup. For him, the puppy was the ideal remedy for a broken heart.

While filming Twisters, Powell brought Brisket along to the set almost every day. The pup quickly became a beloved figure among the cast and crew. Understandably, who wouldn’t be thrilled to start their day with an adorable puppy on set?
