Goldie Hawn’s Grandson Buddy, 3, Steals the Show in Rare Family Photo

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s son Wyatt Russell has a delightful family. While Wyatt and his wife Meredith Hagner tend to keep their family life private, they occasionally share glimpses on social media.

This week, Meredith thrilled fans by posting several photos from a family trip to a ranch. Among the pictures was an adorable snapshot of their two young sons, Buddy, three, and Boone, six months.

In the picture, Buddy is dressed as a miniature cowboy, complete with a hat and camouflage print boots, while baby Boone is securely strapped to his mom in a carrier. To safeguard their privacy, Meredith used emojis to cover their faces.

Wyatt and Meredith’s first son, Buddy, was born during the pandemic, and Boone arrived earlier this year. The couple announced Boone’s birth on social media, sharing a photo of them kissing while holding their newborn.

“Boone Joseph Russell. Born Feb 13, a week before his due date,” Meredith shared alongside the picture, adding, “8 pounds 3 oz of heaven. Hearts overflowing,” followed by a red heart emoji.

In a rare interview with Entertainment Weekly, Wyatt shared insights into fatherhood shortly after Buddy’s birth and talked about the kind of grandparents his parents are.

“Starting with my brother’s or my sister’s first child, they’re Gogo and Gogi. My dad’s wine is called Gogi, which was his nickname in life, and my mom’s nickname was Gogo. So the kids call them Gogo and Gogi,” Wyatt explained.

Besides Buddy and Boone, Goldie and Kurt are proud grandparents to Oliver Hudson and his wife Erinn’s three children, as well as Kate Hudson’s three children. Goldie treasures her role as a grandparent and discussed her family life in an interview with Australian Women’s Weekly.

“A good family is the key to happiness. I look at our kids and grandchildren, and there’s nothing that makes me prouder,” Goldie said.

Meredith and Wyatt have been married since 2019 after four years of dating. The couple met on the set of Folk Hero & Funny Guy. Wyatt proposed to Meredith on Christmas Day in 2018 during their annual family trip to Colorado.

At the time, Meredith shared the special moment on social media. She wrote, “The love of my dang life proposed to me. He is the best guy in the world. It was an epic surprise surrounded by our closest family, and I would give the proposal 5 stars on yelp!”
