Grant to Lead Season 29 Following Jenn’s Departure

Grant Ellis has been revealed as the lead for “The Bachelor” Season 29, following his departure from Season 21 of “The Bachelorette,” which featured Jenn Tran.

Ellis, a 30-year-old Houston resident, works as a day trader. According to ABC’s official bio, he is described as a “self-proclaimed mama’s boy” whose “infectious smile and unwavering positivity instantly brighten every room he enters.” Besides his career in finance, Ellis enjoys cheering on the Lakers, bowling, and karaoke. As the new Bachelor, he is looking forward to finding romance and forming genuine connections, noting the importance of loyalty, humor, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures.

During his time on “The Bachelorette,” Ellis quickly became a standout contestant. He developed a connection with Tran through group dates and cocktail parties. Their relationship became more prominent during their first one-on-one date in Week 5, where they shared personal stories about their families. Ellis opened up about his father’s substance abuse issues, while Tran talked about her struggles with an absent father. Despite their seemingly growing bond, Tran surprised many fans by sending Ellis home in Week 6, just before the hometown visits.

Jenn Tran became known to audiences from Season 28 of “The Bachelor,” which aired earlier this year and featured Joey Graziadei. Graziadei is now engaged to Kelsey Anderson. Fans of the franchise can look forward to Season 29 of “The Bachelor,” which will air in 2025, alongside Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” ABC is also set to debut “The Golden Bachelorette” this fall, a spinoff led by 61-year-old Joan Vassos.

“The Bachelor” series is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in partnership with Warner Horizon. The executive producers include Claire Freeland, Bennett Graebner, Tim Warner, and Peter Gust.
