Gwyneth Paltrow Amazed by Moses’ Personality in Rare Video

Gwyneth Paltrow is on the brink of experiencing a significant life transition as her son, Moses Martin, prepares to leave for college in just a few weeks. Despite this impending change, Moses continues to spend quality time with his mom. Paltrow recently shared a rare video of her son, showcasing their close bond.

The actress and Goop founder interacted with her Instagram followers through an “Ask Me A Question” segment on her story. One fan asked, “Have you dropped both kids off to college? I’m doing that, I’m not ok,” followed by a sad emoji. The fan mentioned taking their kids to Cornell and Northeastern.

Strolling through her garden, Gwyneth responded, “Not yet,” before turning the camera to her son Moses, who walked beside her. Ducking under a tree, Moses quipped with a smirk, “She hasn’t quite yet gotten rid of me.” Gwyneth seemed taken aback by his witty remark, her jaw dropping before she ended the video.

While Paltrow often shares photos of her children on social media, it’s less common for her to post videos showing their personalities. Moses, now 18, appeared notably mature, towering over his mom. He sported a white t-shirt with a sweater draped over one shoulder and seemed to be growing his hair out from a previous buzz cut.

In a previous revelation, Gwyneth shared that her son has niche interests, particularly in certain cultural eras. On his 18th birthday, she praised him for becoming “an expert in synths from the 80’s and the French new wave.” She expressed immense pride in his sensitivity, brilliance, and subtle sense of humor. “I admire how deep you go into areas that interest you,” she added.

Moses graduated earlier this year and is set to attend Brown University in Rhode Island. Gwyneth’s daughter, Apple, is already studying at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. The thought of becoming an empty nester has not been easy for the actress to handle.

At the Goop Health Summit, Gwyneth admitted that the upcoming empty nest phase has left her feeling unsettled. “[It’s] sort of putting things into turmoil,” she said. “My identity has been being a mother. Apple’s going to be 20 in May. So I’ve oriented my whole life around them and their schedules and when school starts. You start to let go in increments when they’re driving themselves or do certain things. It is a slower process.”

She even described experiencing sudden impulses to make drastic life changes amidst this major transition. “You start to let go in increments… It is a slower process,” she explained. The journey of letting go is not straightforward, filled with mixed feelings and frequent adjustments for the actress.
