The Bahamas has long been a sought-after destination, attracting celebrities like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who recently stayed at the $15,000-a-night Rosalita House on Harbour Island. The Baha Mar resort in Nassau has also welcomed stars such as Mariah Carey and Liev Schreiber. It’s known for its exclusive amenities, including a members-only Nexus club and a sprawling water park.

The 1000-acre Baha Mar resort offers numerous luxuries, including the Nexus club, founded by celebrities Justin Timberlake, Ernie Els, and Tiger Woods. The property also features the expansive Baha Bay water park, which cost a whopping $200 million to build. Opened in 2021, the park boasts multiple dining options and even includes an 818 Shack, showcasing Kendall Jenner’s tequila brand.

As the Derek Jeter Invitational golf tournament approaches, Baha Mar is partnering with Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand Goop to launch a Wellness Weekend from September 13 to 15. Packages for this unique experience start at $1,500 and promise an array of health-oriented activities. This collaboration marks Goop’s second foray into travel experiences, following their successful Goop at Sea wellness retreat with Celebrity Cruises in 2022.

During the three-day Wellness Weekend at Baha Mar, attendees can stay at one of the resort’s three hotels: Grand Hyatt, SLS, or Rosewood. Although Paltrow herself won’t be attending, the event will feature Goop-approved instructors. Among them is celebrity fitness trainer and choreographer Isaac Boots, who is well-known for his Torch’d workouts. These workouts have been popular with A-listers like Paltrow, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Jessica Chastain.

Boots shares how his Broadway background influenced his workout routine, stating, “Torch’d is a flow of targeted reps, a lot of core work, things I did as a professional dancer performing eight shows a week. You ultimately use the space of your body and feel vibrant. It was born by training actors who are on set and in their trailer.”

The itinerary for the Wellness Weekend features more than just the daily Torch’d workout. Guests can join morning sessions with wellness coach Koya Webb, involving practices like yoga flow, breath work, sound bath healing, aromatherapy, meditation, and affirmation setting. Webb’s notable clients include Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, Stevie Wonder, and Ashley Judd. Speaking about the experience, Webb highlights Baha Mar’s natural beauty and its positive impact on wellness practices.

The Wellness Weekend package also offers a massage at the massive 30,000-square-foot ESPA, the largest spa in Nassau. Guests can enjoy a sunset catamaran cruise and an afternoon at the Nexus club. Additionally, participants will receive goodies from both Baha Mar and Goop Beauty. Signature Goop drinks and snacks like Carrot Orange Margaritas, zero-proof Spicy Cilantro Lemonade, Date Balls, Detox Granola Bars, and various smoothies will be available.

Guests have the option to dine at one of three on-site restaurants on Saturday and Sunday or join a Bahamian cooking class at Baha Mar’s culinary learning center, The Kitchen. The weekend promises more surprises, including a traditional Junkanoo parade and appearances from the resort’s resident flamingos.
