The confusion surrounding the paternity of Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s unborn baby won’t be resolved anytime soon. Sources have informed TMZ that her ex, Ryan Anderson, has decided to wait on taking a DNA test. Ryan and Gypsy have chosen to delay DNA testing until after her baby girl is born, as it’s easier and more affordable to wait.

The cost for a paternity test before the baby’s birth ranges between $500 and $2,000, while a post-birth test is more economical, costing around $150 to $200. Gypsy Rose has previously claimed her fiancé, Ken Urker, is the father. However, fans have been skeptical about the pregnancy timeline.

According to Louisiana law, if Gypsy Rose gives birth before her divorce from Ryan is finalized, Ryan will be listed as the father on the birth certificate. The only way to amend this would be with a paternity test confirming Ken as the father.

Kim Kardashian encountered a similar situation when she became pregnant with her and Kanye West’s first child, North West, while still legally married to NBA star Kris Humphries. Their divorce was finalized just weeks before North was born, allowing Kanye to be listed as the father.

Despite the uncertainty, Gypsy Rose isn’t overly stressed, which is understandable considering she has endured more stressful situations, like her time in prison.
