Gypsy Rose Blanchard Pregnant with First Baby: Who’s the Father?

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is expecting her first child. This announcement comes nearly seven months after her release from prison and just two months following her breakup with Ryan Anderson. Many are curious about the father and the due date of her baby. Here’s what is currently known.

The father of Gypsy’s baby is her fiancé, Ken Urker, and she is due in January 2025. Gypsy confirmed the pregnancy rumors in a recent YouTube video. She stated, “I know the rumors have been flying around for quite some time now, and I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant. Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January 2025.”

Gypsy and Ken did not plan the pregnancy, but she shared that they are both very excited to embark on the new journey of parenthood together.

Gypsy spoke in May about the desire to start her own family, mentioning that she believes she will be a good mother. She added that Ken would be a wonderful father, expressing optimism about their future.

The announcement comes seven months after Gypsy’s release from prison, where she served seven years after pleading guilty to the second-degree murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.

Gypsy admitted that she wanted children someday but felt she needed to work on herself first. The star of “Life After Lockup” expressed intentions to attend therapy and work through the alleged abuse she endured during her childhood. Dee Dee Blanchard had reportedly subjected her daughter to unnecessary medical treatments, including surgeries and a feeding tube, convincing everyone around her that Gypsy was sick when she was not.

Gypsy stated that her ongoing therapy helps her process the emotions she has towards herself and her late mother. She revealed she has been diagnosed with PTSD and is on medication for it. When nightmares occur, it takes her a day to recover from the negative mindset they induce. She is also working on forgiving herself for her role in her mother’s murder.

Gypsy’s love life has been tumultuous since her release from prison. She married Ryan Scott Anderson in 2022 while still incarcerated. However, their relationship ended shortly after her release. In April, she filed for divorce and reconciled with her former fiancé, Ken Urker. Gypsy insisted that Ken did not influence her decision to leave Ryan.

Speaking to Us Weekly, Gypsy mentioned, “It was, I think, an insecurity that was there for a very long time. I called Ken two weeks before I got married. Ken has consistently been brought up in a way that I can never let go of my feelings, but I put them on the back burner to do what was best for my marriage. And so, having that be a point of contention has been a thread throughout, but I didn’t leave Ryan for Ken. That was just sort of a realization [of], ‘Hey, we still love each other after the fact.'”

Gypsy’s journey has been the subject of various series and specials. The path ahead includes continuing her therapy and building a stable foundation for her new family with Ken.
