Gypsy Rose Blanchard Reveals Baby’s Gender with Ken Urker

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is thrilled to announce she’s expecting a baby girl!

This past weekend, the 33-year-old reality TV star and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, hosted a gender reveal party filled with excitement and support from their loved ones. During the celebration, the couple revealed that they are eagerly waiting to welcome a daughter in the new year.

In a heartwarming Instagram video, Blanchard and Urker spoke directly to their unborn baby girl. The video included a charming snapshot capturing the moment they popped a gender reveal balloon, releasing pink confetti. Another post showcased friends joining in the festivities by setting off poppers filled with hot pink powder.

“Hi sweetie, I’m your mom,” Blanchard greeted, with Urker chiming in, “I’m your dad.” The couple then joyfully announced in unison, “And you’re a girl.”

Blanchard’s Instagram caption reflected her joy and gratitude for the outpouring of support from over 600,000 followers as they embark on this new journey.

“The moment y’all have been waiting for… It’s a girl! Ken and I are over the moon and are so excited to start our family. We’re so thankful for our friends, neighbors, and families who came to our party today! We also want to thank y’all for your love and support! 💕🎀✨,” she wrote.

It’s been an eventful period for Blanchard, who shared the news of her pregnancy just a little over a month ago in early July. After being released from prison in December, where she served eight years for second-degree murder connected to her mother Dee Dee Blanchard’s death, Blanchard revealed her pregnancy on her new YouTube channel.

“I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant,” she said at the time. “Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January 2025. We’re both very excited. This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected. But we’re both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood.”

As Blanchard transitions into this new phase, she continues to handle personal challenges. She is currently undergoing a divorce from her husband of roughly two years, Ryan Scott Anderson. The timeline of her relationship with Urker and Anderson has been a point of discussion among followers, particularly about the baby’s parentage. Blanchard and Anderson split in March, and she filed for divorce in April.

In a sit-down interview with ABC’s Juju Chang, Blanchard asserted the paternity of her child, ensuring there were no doubts during her tumultuous period. “This is absolutely 100 percent Ken’s baby,” she told the reporter.

Blanchard continues to keep her fans updated on her pregnancy journey through social media. Last week, she posted a photo on Instagram, depicting the size of her baby girl at 16 weeks, by holding an avocado in front of her stomach.

“I’m 16 weeks and our little one is the size of an avocado!” Blanchard wrote. “I love watching my baby bump grow💗,” she added with excitement.

Earlier, she shared a video using an at-home fetal heart rate monitor. Pressing the wand to her belly, she found and listened to her baby’s heartbeat. “There it is,” she said when the thumping sound was clearly heard. She captioned the video, “Hearing our baby’s heartbeat with a home doppler 💓.”

Blanchard has gracefully embraced her role as an expectant mother, sharing each milestone with the immense support of those who follow her journey with heartfelt enthusiasm.
