Gypsy Rose Blanchard Updates on Pregnancy, Shows Her Growing Baby Bump

Gypsy Rose Blanchard recently shared an update on her pregnancy at 18 weeks. The star of “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up,” 33, took to Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 21, to announce that her baby with boyfriend Ken Urker is now the size of a bell pepper. In the Instagram post, Blanchard excitedly shared this milestone with her followers by posting a photo that shows her lying down with a bell pepper placed on her growing belly. She captioned the photo with a playful question for her followers, asking for guesses on next week’s fruit or veggie size, and added hashtags like “Baby Bump,” “Weekly Produce,” and “18 Weeks.” Beside her in the photo, a sign documents her 18th week of pregnancy, mentioning she’s craving cake and beginning to feel “movement” from her baby.

Blanchard and Urker initially shared their exciting baby news in July. Just last week, they revealed they are expecting a little girl in January 2025. They posted a heartwarming video of the gender reveal on Instagram. “The moment y’all have been waiting for… It’s a girl!” Blanchard joyfully wrote. She continued, “Ken and I are over the moon and are so excited to start our family. We’re so thankful for our friends, neighbors, and families who came to our party today! We also want to thank y’all for your love and support!”

Released from prison in December 2023 after pleading guilty to her role in the 2015 killing of her mother Dee Dee, Blanchard had a challenging past. However, she expressed her excitement about becoming a mother in a July YouTube video, despite the pregnancy being unplanned. She conveyed her deep desire to give her baby the love and care she felt she lacked from her own mother. “All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby,” Blanchard said. “I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.”

Part of Blanchard’s pregnancy journey involves dealing with her legal situation. She and her estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, split in April, but their divorce is not yet finalized. This complicates matters, as Louisiana state law could list Anderson as the father if the baby arrives before the divorce is official. Anderson shared on TikTok that he will comply with the necessary DNA testing to confirm Urker as the father. “I don’t have a choice,” Anderson said. “I hate being in this situation… I have to take a DNA test for court. The way the timeline matches up – I don’t think it’s mine, but I don’t know. The DNA test is going to prove it. Crazier things have happened. I just don’t know. I have my thoughts and I have my opinions.”

As Gypsy Rose Blanchard embarks on this new chapter, she continues to share her journey with her followers, expressing excitement, gratitude, and hope for the future. She dreams of giving her child a life full of love and security, aiming to be the mother she wished she had. Her story is a testament to resilience and the human capacity for change and growth, as she looks forward to welcoming her baby girl into the world.
