Halle Bailey and DDG Reveal First Photos of Their Son Halo’s Face

Halle Bailey and DDG have recently shared some adorable family photos. The 24-year-old star of The Little Mermaid and the 26-year-old rapper posted a series of vacation snapshots featuring their six-month-old son, Halo, showcasing his face publicly for the first time.

“halo’s first time in italy 🤍🌊," Bailey captioned her Instagram post on Wednesday, July 3. The Color Purple actress included three photos featuring her boyfriend and their son.

In the first photo, the family of three is seen on a small pier above the ocean. DDG is holding Halo up in the air while Bailey holds onto their baby’s leg, both of them smiling widely for the camera.

The second photo captures Bailey cradling Halo, with DDG standing behind them and smiling. The final photo shows Bailey posing with Halo on her hip, striking a charming pose for the camera.

DDG also shared his own set of photos on Instagram the same day. “la familia ♥️ who halo look like more? 😂," he humorously asked in his caption. He posted a photo of Halo crying while he mimicked his son’s expression, along with a family portrait of the three sitting and smiling together, and a solo shot of just him and Halo.

Continuing the fun, DDG included a close-up of Halo’s face and a baby photo of himself for comparison. Followers in the comments eagerly voted on who they thought Halo resembled more, with the majority agreeing that Halo looks like his mom.

The couple welcomed Halo in December 2023. Bailey announced his birth through an Instagram post on January 6, 2024. Although there was speculation regarding her pregnancy, Bailey and DDG kept it a secret until the Instagram announcement. At the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards in March 2024, Bailey explained her decision to keep Halo’s news private, saying it came from “a place of protection.”

“There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone,” she expressed. “Halo was my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that.”

In February, the couple opened up about their experiences as new parents in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "It’s wonderful," Bailey told the publication, adding, "I love our baby so much. We’re so happy.”

Echoing Bailey’s sentiment, DDG added, "It’s amazing."
