Harvey Keitel, Britt Robertson Star in Comedy-Drama ‘The Letter’ by Rodrigo H. Vila

Harvey Keitel and Britt Robertson have joined forces for the comedy-drama “The Letter,” which is wrapping up its final week of filming in Buenos Aires. Directed by Rodrigo H. Vila, the film presents a touching narrative.

Written by Vila and Sebastián Meschengieser, with script collaboration from Andy Weiss, the story follows Finn (Keitel), an elderly war veteran who wishes to write a farewell letter to his only daughter. Finn decides to hire Julia (Robertson), a struggling writer in need of money. Both are lost in their own ways, and they form an unconventional yet heartwarming friendship that changes their lives.

This project marks the second collaboration between Vila and Keitel, who previously worked together on the 2019 sci-fi thriller “The Last Man.”

“I’ve worked with Harvey in the past, and we promised to make another film together,” Vila stated. “This film, crafted specifically for him, has the potential to be a small gem that moves, brings laughter, tears, and encourages reflection on life’s little things — perhaps the most significant ones.”

The film is produced by Argentinian companies Cinema 7 Films and Non Stop Studios, with executive producers Dalila Zaritzki and Colette Aguilar. Aguilar, CEO of the Madrid-based English-language specialist Moonrise, is handling the worldwide sales for the film.

“We are excited to continue our collaboration with Cinema 7 Films,” Aguilar said. “The script immediately drew us in with its charm and heartfelt narrative. Featuring a wonderful cast, this film will undoubtedly resonate with audiences across generations. We can’t wait to bring it to the global market.”

The film is supported by private equity financing and is structured as an Argentinian co-production. Executive producers include Screen Capital, Chris D’Cruz, Monica Ruffo, and Aristotle Andulakis.

Harvey Keitel, an Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner known for classics such as “Reservoir Dogs,” “Taxi Driver,” and “Mean Streets,” was recently seen in the Peacock drama series “The Tattooist of Auschwitz.” Keitel is represented by Twelve Entertainment and Untitled Entertainment.

Britt Robertson, who starred opposite George Clooney in “Tomorrowland,” recently led ABC’s spinoff series “The Rookie: Feds” and will soon appear in “The Merry Gentleman” alongside Chad Michael Murray. She is represented by Innovative Artists, while Moonrise is repped by Gersh Agency.
