After the phenomenal success of Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, the anticipation for the sequel, Salaar 2, is reaching fever pitch. Recent revelations suggest that the wait might soon be over, as the actor is gearing up to start shooting in August of this year.

For those unaware, Prabhas’ Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire was released on December 22, 2023, after multiple delays. Despite these setbacks, the film opened to massive box office collections and garnered impressive acclaim nationwide. According to Pinkvilla, the filming of the sequel is expected to span over eight months, starting in August. In other words, the production company, Hombale Films, aims to release Salaar Part 2 by the end of 2025. Initially, the makers planned to start filming in June 2024. However, recent updates suggest a slight shift in the schedule.

Furthermore, the report gave a sneak peek into what can be expected in Salaar Part 2’s plot. “The real drama and politics of the film unfold in the sequel. One will get to see a different and new dynamic of both Prabhas and Prithviraj in the film, which brings in intensity to the storytelling. The entire plot of the sequel was written way back in the pandemic and it’s now time to execute all the drama to the spectacle with scale and heroism,” a source revealed.

All in all, the sequel promises to elevate the stakes, building on the foundation laid by its blockbuster predecessor. With shooting set to begin soon and a release planned for the end of 2025, the countdown for Salaar 2 has started.
