Haunted Texas Hotel’s Doll Tried to Escape Its Glass Case

The Jefferson Hotel has a long history of spooky tales. One particularly chilling story involves a guest walking through the hotel carrying a spirit box, a device designed to capture ghostly voices. The guest climbed the stairs to an area known as the religious room, where a cross on a stand greeted visitors at the top. As the guest reached the cross, the spirit box captured a voice uttering “f@#& the cross.” Terrified, the woman let out a loud scream and sprinted down the hallway.

The hotel isn’t new to tales of moving dolls. There is even a room dedicated to various dolls. On one occasion, a doll positioned against a wall next to the bed reportedly moved in a video captured by a hotel guest. The doll seemed to move, stop, move again, stop, and then fall to the ground. First, a box was thrown to the floor, followed by crackers and butter, then bananas. It seemed as though the ghost didn’t approve of their original positions.

In the latest video, a doll known as Eddie the Living Doll, displayed in a wall case, appears to move. As seen in the video, Eddie moves forward, stops, moves again, and then leans forward against the glass. Was the doll trying to escape? Could it be that a ghostly companion wanted to play with him? According to the hotel owner, these occurrences could merely be a result of gravity, but the mysteries of the Jefferson Hotel add to its allure.
