Hawk Tuah Girl” Haliey Welch Launches New Podcast, “Talk Tuah

Saw this one coming from a mile away. The “Hawk Tuah girl,” Haliey Welch, has been doing her best to capitalize on her viral fame since becoming an internet phenomenon a couple of months ago. Her rise to fame began in Nashville during a spicy man-on-the-street interview where she was asked her advice for pleasing a man in bed. Her memorable answer?

“You gotta give ’em that hawk tuah, spit on that thang.”

Since going viral, Welch has been making the most of her moment in the spotlight. She’s shared the stage with Zach Bryan, partied with Shaq, and appeared on a plethora of podcasts, including an awkward interview with Bill Maher. She even threw out the first pitch at a New York Mets game, an appearance that received some criticism from NYC sports media. More recently, she appeared with comedian Matt Rife at his show in Nashville.

Despite many expecting her 15 minutes of fame to be over by now, Welch is clearly doing everything she can to keep it going strong. Now, she’s venturing into the podcast world.

The Hawk Tuah girl announced today that her podcast, Talk Tuah, will premiere on September 10. The podcast will be a new addition to the Betr Media lineup and will feature guests such as Whitney Cummings, Jake Paul, and Josh Richards in upcoming episodes.

Speaking about the podcast, Welch said:

“Y’all kept asking ‘What’s next?’ Well, this is it! I’m so thankful to have my own podcast where you’ll discover the real Haliey Welch. I’m delighted to join the team at Betr who fully gets me. Together, we’re going to introduce the world to Talk Tuah every Tuesday, starting September 10. My show will have a little of everything – great guests, laughs, chit-chats about your pets, relationship pointers, sports, and, of course, some down-home southern charm.”

In a teaser video, Welch even poked fun at critics who claim her 15 minutes of fame are over. It’s a clever move from her team to address and disarm her critics directly. And honestly, it’s hard to hate on her too much because she seems determined to use her fame to help animals, a cause that’s always commendable.
