Known in the movie as Cedric the bellhop, to Elle, he was simply dad—and allegedly not a very affectionate one. She detailed how her father, who BunnieXO noted was a childhood celebrity crush, was often unkind to her, leading to years of estrangement.

Elle also criticized her father for his stance on the LGBTQ+ movement, particularly his reaction to the 2024 Paris Olympic opening ceremony featuring drag queens in different colors. Building any kind of relationship with Rob proved difficult for Elle, who now insists on distancing herself from him.

Elle’s struggles with her weight compounded her difficulties growing up. She recounted that John would often belittle her and even sent her to a fat camp. One instance, in which she couldn’t lose weight due to a sprain, led to significant trouble with her father.
