Former President Barack Obama shared his summer playlist and reading list on X on Monday. The former president regularly shares book and music recommendations, particularly at the end of the year.

“With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to!” Obama wrote on X.

The playlist included a wide variety of songs, from popstar Charlie XCX’s “365” to The Rolling Stones’s classic “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” TMZ’s official X account replied to the selection and commented “Very Demure.”

“I’ve read some great books over the last few months and wanted to share some of my favorites. Let me know if you have any recommendations for books I should check out!” Obama wrote while sharing his reading list.

The list included 2024 New York Times bestsellers like “The God of the Woods” by Liz Moore and “The Ministry of Time” by Kaliane Bradley. Obama also included some books on modern society like 2022’s “Of Boys and Men: Why the Modern Male Is Struggling, Why It Matters, and What to Do about It” by Richard V. Reeves.
