Hugh Jackman Shares Emotional Video

Hugh Jackman, star of Deadpool & Wolverine, is celebrating the movie crossing the $1 billion mark at the box office. The Marvel actor is highlighting the support from fans who participated in the worldwide press tour for the film. The anticipation had been building among Marvel fans long before, and the thought of seeing Deadpool and Wolverine together in one movie was set to be an unforgettable experience. With the film now crossing the $1 billion milestone, it is evident that the extensive marketing efforts paid off.

Jackman shared his excitement by posting a note from Kevin Feige, the architect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The note expressed gratitude to fans for filling cinemas and turning the movie into a global phenomenon. “Thanks for making Marvel Studios’ first R-rated movie the biggest of all time,” Feige said. “It’s fantastic to see that audiences are loving this movie as much as we all loved making it. All those conversations were worth it!”

Many Marvel fans probably remember the exact moment Hugh Jackman announced his return as Wolverine. At that time, there wasn’t even a title for the third Deadpool film. Ryan Reynolds ensured that the announcement would be iconic from the very start. The image of Jackman and Reynolds sitting on a couch and thanking Kevin Feige was memorable. Now, with Deadpool & Wolverine in theaters, Jackman took a moment to reflect on social media about how significant his return to Marvel has been.

“This photo was taken September 4, 2022. There were maybe 7 or 8 people in the world who knew @vancityreynolds and I were about to shoot a little something to announce that #deadpoolandwolverine were joining the MCU. Becoming Wolverine Again was born,” Jackman previously posted. “It’s one of the most important moments of my life. I think at that very moment Ryan literally asked me if I was sure. I was! I am! So we shot this with @slevydirect and @maximumeffort and held our collective breath that it didn’t leak. To all of our surprise it didn’t. Now playing in theaters worldwide.”
