Ice Spice Performs ‘Phat Butt’ & ‘Think U the Sh-t (Fart)’ at BET Awards

The 2024 BET Awards brought a vibrant conclusion to Black Music Month on Sunday, June 30, with exciting performances from a stellar lineup including Will Smith, GloRilla, Latto, Shaboozey, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, and many others.

Ice Spice, who was nominated in three categories at this year’s BET Awards, delivered an energetic performance of her recent singles during the live broadcast from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Starting her set with “Phat Butt,” Ice Spice captivated the audience with her twerking skills, accompanied by dancers on motorcycles. She performed in a lacy bikini bottom and fuzzy white boots, adding a distinct flair to her stage presence. Transitioning into “Think U the Sh-t (Fart),” she confidently delivered bold lyrics like “Be quick, but I’m quicker / Be thick, but I’m thicker / She could be rich, but I’m richer,” while strutting around the stage.

“Phat Butt” was recently released, while “Think U the Sh-t (Fart)” has been a hit, reaching the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February. Ice Spice was honored as Billboard Women in Music’s 2024 Hitmaker. Reflecting on her upcoming album, “Y2K,” she expressed to Billboard, “I think this is some of my best work. It’s not going to be too long — it’s going to be sweet and to the point.”

Ice Spice is also in the running for best collaboration and video of the year, both for her collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Aqua on “Barbie World” from the Barbie movie. Besides that, she’s up for the BET Award for best female hip-hop artist. Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj had previously teamed up on a remix of “Princess Diana,” which she described as her “dream collab fulfilled.”
