Ice Spice Rocks Kim Kardashian’s Vintage Silver Cutout Bodysuit

Kanye West may be credited with Kim Kardashian’s fashion awakening—like, the SKIMS founder herself has previously thanked her ex-husband for introducing her to designers and initiating her acceptance amongst industry insiders. But the reality star has always been a style icon, which is a fact proven by Ice Spice, who took inspiration from Kim’s early fame aesthetic over the weekend.

Allow us to explain. Ice arrived wearing a Louis Vuitton silver backless bodysuit to attend her album release party. From the halterneck silhouette to the *huge* torso cutout and all-over branded embossing, the ‘fit embodied peak noughties style—and fittingly so, as her new album is titled Y2K.

The look was obvi from the era and tapped into the latest A-lister trend of celebs wearing vintage (hello Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner!). But more than ensuring her ensemble aligned with her record title, Ice Spice also revealed on Instagram that the look was pulled straight from Kim’s wardrobe.

In the throwback snap, Kim can be seen linking arms with fellow Y2K queen Paris Hilton wearing the statement bodysuit paired with a low-rise silver sequin embellished white gypsy skirt. The celeb accessorized her look with oversized tinted aviator sunglasses and an XL silver top handle Louis Vuitton handbag while Paris clutched a gold version of the same bag in the pic.

Back to 2024, though! Rather than recreate Kim’s full look, Ice Spice wore the bodysuit with the tiniest micro miniskirt we’ve ever seen. With a thick double buckle side belt and hip-high leg slit, the silver skirt was still a remnant of the decade and stuck to the evening’s unofficial dress code—as did the oversized silver butterfly chain necklace, wraparound sunglasses, and silver sparkly heels the musician outfitted her look with.

Judging by the second slide in Ice Spice’s post, however, it looks like she gave a further nod to Kim by also toting the same silver LV bag. From one icon to another, we love to see it.
