Insider: Travis Kelce Feared for Taylor Swift’s Safety in Vienna Terror Threat

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been a major success, but it didn’t come without its challenges.

The latest was a terror plot that occurred in Vienna, deeply concerning her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

What happened in Vienna wasn’t the first alarming incident Swift faced while on tour. She had to cancel her scheduled concerts at Ernst Happel Stadium on Aug. 8, 9, and 10 after Austrian government officials confirmed that her shows were the target of “planned terrorist attacks.”

This terrifying news came on the heels of another tragic event; just days earlier, a stabbing occurred at a Swift-themed yoga and dance class in Southport, England, where three young girls were killed, and several others were injured.

According to a source close to Kelce, the NFL star was extremely worried when he learned of the potential danger Swift was in, and he struggled with the fact that he couldn’t be by her side during the ordeal.

“It’s been so horrible, he hated having to sit back and do nothing but wait. He wanted to rush to her side to protect her but obviously he couldn’t do that,” the source told Life & Style. “Anyway, she had plenty of bodyguards to keep her safe, but still, it left him feeling pretty helpless.”

These incidents deeply affected both Swift and Kelce. The source shared that the events made them both “aware of how quickly things can change and reminded them how precious life is.”

Despite the immense success of her tour, Swift was devastated by the situation, particularly with what happened in Southport.

“It wasn’t an event sanctioned by her, but still, her name was attached and it’s just heartbreaking,” the insider explained.

Kelce, although proud of Swift for prioritizing safety by canceling her Vienna shows, remains deeply concerned for her well-being.

“Money isn’t everything, and Travis is proud of Taylor for doing the right thing and canceling her shows,” the source said. “Putting her life and the lives of her fans at risk simply isn’t worth it, no matter how disappointing it is for people or how much money it cost her.”

As the tour continues, Kelce is reportedly urging Swift to make her safety the top priority, remaining a supportive and protective presence in her life.
