Insiders Claim Jennifer Lopez’s Family Believes She ‘Wasted Years’ on Affleck

While many have been thrilled about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s rekindled romance, it appears that Lopez’s family might not be as ecstatic. Insiders suggest that Lopez’s mom and sisters think it’s time for her to let go, especially now with rumors of a divorce looming.

An insider recently told Daily Mail that Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, has been advising her daughter to move on. Rodríguez allegedly told Lopez, “Cut your losses and move on to avoid getting any deeper into this mess.” She also remarked that Lopez had “wasted years believing that Ben was some kind of knight in shining armor.”

The source added, “He was not the person she built him up to be. It’s taken too much of a toll on her, and because of this, she has lost sight of who she is and what she stands for.”

Apparently, Rodríguez believes that Lopez should move on from this two-decade-long romance to find someone new, or risk losing herself even more.

Lopez’s sisters, Leslie Ann and Lynda, reportedly agree with their mother’s sentiment. They believe Lopez has “lost sight of who she is.” The insider added, “Jennifer currently feels like Ben does not deserve her, and her sisters agree. They want Jennifer to be happy, of course, but they feel their sister is getting so caught up in what it was supposed to be that she isn’t seeing it for what it is now.”

The news comes as a surprise to many since Lopez’s mom had previously praised Affleck. In 2023, she told Hoda Kotb, “I knew that you would always get back together because I prayed for 20 years.”
