Jonathan Bennett, one of Hallmark’s hottest stars, celebrated his two-year wedding anniversary with husband Jaymes Vaughan on March 19, 2024. “Two years ago today, I married my best friend. The pair has been together since 2016, when they first met on an episode of “Celebrity Page,” where Vaughan was interviewing Bennett for his show “Halloween Wars.” The attraction was instant for both. Vaughan, a former Chippendales performer, is also an actor and TV host who gained initial fame on Season 21 of “The Amazing Race” in 2012. His work as a host has allowed him to interview numerous Hollywood legends including Dolly Parton, Janet Jackson, and Ciara. However, it was Bennett who truly captivated him.

In a 2019 interview with Instinct magazine, Vaughan admitted, “[It was] instant butterflies. I couldn’t even form proper sentences for the interview.” Beyond his significant achievements as an anchor and noteworthy appearances on shows like “The Talk,” “Lorraine,” and MTV’s “The Real Friends of WeHo” alongside Bennett, Vaughan is much more than his professional success.

According to an Instagram video by Vaughan, it was Bennett who was keen on getting a pet due to his long-standing obsession with dogs. Despite Vaughan initially resisting the idea, he eventually gave in and surprised Bennett with a puppy for his 38th birthday in June 2019. “You know how I’ve been telling Jonathan that we cannot get a dog,” Vaughan said in the clip. “I finally gave in.”

Since then, Vaughan has embraced being a dog dad, frequently sharing pictures and clips on Instagram of quality time spent with Brad. He told Instinct magazine in 2019 that the best thing about having Brad is his personality, saying, “All he wants to do is either play with you or love on you.” Vaughan added, “Plus he’s got great hair just like his dad.”

The couple doesn’t just share a love for dogs; they are also business partners. Vaughan expressed in an interview with Instinct magazine his hopes for having children with Bennett in the future, imagining a large family similar to his own upbringing. For now, Brad keeps them busy at home, but their professional lives are also demanding.

Bennett is set to star in the Hallmark trilogy “The Groomsmen” alongside Tyler Hynes and B.J. Britt, and both he and Vaughan are actively involved in their business venture, OUTbound Travels. The company, launched in 2021, aims to cater specifically to the LGBTQ+ community.

In an interview with TripSavvy, the couple shared that their love of travel and desire for relaxing vacations inspired them to start the business. “Our main focus is building a community of LGBTQ+ travelers who want to get to know each other,” Vaughan said. “We’ve created a safe space for LGBTQ+ people to travel the world and be celebrated.”
