Is Jelly Roll Planning a WWE SummerSlam Performance?

Jelly Roll is gearing up to be a part of the WWE Universe once more.

Two of his tracks will be the theme songs for this year’s WWE SummerSlam, as announced by Paul Michael Levesque, known as Triple H. As a retired professional wrestler and WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H revealed the news via social media, expressing his excitement to have Jelly Roll back. The two featured songs will be “Dead End Road” from the Twisters movie soundtrack and “Liar.”

“Liar” is a new addition to Jelly Roll’s repertoire, anticipated to be included in his upcoming album. He gave fans a sneak peek of the song during the 2024 ACM Awards and also performed it at the Grand Ole Opry in April. At that initial performance, Jelly Roll mentioned he was unsure if he would officially release the song. However, with its subsequent performances and now its inclusion as a SummerSlam theme, it seems likely that he plans to share it publicly.

But it’s not just the music that fans can look forward to at SummerSlam. Levesque’s announcement hinted that Jelly Roll himself might make an appearance at the event. He invited Jelly Roll to play a few songs for the WWE Universe on August 3rd, to which Jelly Roll enthusiastically replied, suggesting they coordinate to make it happen.

Jelly Roll has a connection with the WWE that goes back to last November when he had a front-row seat at WWE Raw in Nashville. During that event, he even got involved in the action, pushing wrestlers JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio during a ringside confrontation. In an interview afterward, Jelly Roll hinted at a desire for another round. He expressed that the encounter left him feeling like there’s some “unfinished business,” even joking that it made him want to lose a little weight to go after Dominik Mysterio.

WWE SummerSlam is set to take place on August 3rd, and fans are excited to see how Jelly Roll’s involvement will add to the event’s energy.

Jelly Roll has been a busy artist, continuing to tour extensively. He is following up a packed 2023 with another major tour in 2024. This commitment to his music and performances showcases his dedication to his craft and his fans.
