Ishowspeed Responds to Polish Sprinter Ewa Swoboda’s Race Challenge

IShowSpeed has announced he’s ready to race Polish Olympic sprinter Ewa Swoboda over 100m. Honestly, it’s quite impressive how confident he is!

Swoboda has emerged as one of the breakout stars at the Paris games this year. She recently challenged Speed to a race, responding to his claim that he’s never been beaten in a race at any point in his life.

Speed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., is a well-known streamer with a massive YouTube following of more than 27 million subscribers. His confidence in his racing abilities seems unshakable, but Swoboda is determined to change that. She expressed interest in racing him if he comes to Poland and competes in the RMF FM radio contest over 100m.

This wouldn’t be the first time Speed has taken on a racing challenge. Earlier this year, he reportedly earned a professional football contract with a Norwegian club after beating the team’s fastest player in a race. His penchant for daring stunts is evident in his online posts – like the time he streamed himself jumping over two supercars, a Lamborghini and a McLaren, speeding towards him one after the other. This stunt, however, led to him being banned from YouTube.

Given his history and love for accepting challenges, it’s not surprising that Speed has agreed to race Swoboda. He shared her Instagram page, adding the caption, “I’m ready.” So, it seems like the race might actually happen – stay tuned for updates!

Meanwhile, Swoboda is busy with her athletic commitments. She’s participating in the 4x100m relay this week after narrowly missing out on a spot in the 100m final during the semi-finals. The 27-year-old is a two-time European Championship medallist with a personal best of 10.94 seconds in the 100m – just half a second off the world record for women.
