Jack Quaid Discusses The Safe Man, Superman S3, The Boys, and Shadow of Mordor

Jack Quaid, known for his roles in My Adventures with Superman and The Boys, recently lent his voice to Audible’s The Safe Man, released in May 2024. In this gripping audio drama, Quaid voices Brian Holloway, tasked with the challenge of cracking a safe for a horror author, only to find himself confronting something far more sinister.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Quaid shared insights about his various projects, including The Safe Man, The Boys, My Adventures with Superman, and Lord of the Rings’ Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Fans are speculating about the possibilities of a sequel to The Safe Man. During a roundtable interview at the event, author Michael Connelly expressed his enthusiasm for future projects. “We have a really good team,” Connelly told Nerd Reactor. “The two producers want to do more. I can see a sequel to The Safe Man, hopefully. There are some stories I wrote… I wrote this one called Mulholland Dive about a car investigation that could be adapted. This project has opened the gate, and now my producers are exploring everything I’ve ever written, even going back into the ’90s, trying to find something else to adapt.”

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Michael Connelly, The Safe Man is a detective story blended with a heist thriller and supernatural mystery. The audio drama features a full cast, starring Jack Quaid and Titus Welliver. The narrative follows Brian Holloway (Jack Quaid), hired by renowned horror author Paul Robinette (Titus Welliver) to unlock an antique safe. However, opening the safe releases a malevolent force that continues to plague Holloway.

Troubling supernatural events, eerie prophecies, and a criminal investigation into a missing girl soon overwhelm Brian, revealing that his fate is interwoven with the eternal. He must confront these otherworldly elements if he hopes to save the most important person in his life.

Set in the eerie tropics of Florida, The Safe Man takes a 2005 short story by Michael Connelly and reimagines it as a high-stakes audio drama. Co-written by Connelly and Terrill Lee Lankford, the series is brought to life with a full cast and meticulously crafted sound design, ensuring an unforgettable listening experience.

The entire 8-episode series of The Safe Man is available on Audible across multiple countries, including the USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, and Japan. To catch all the episodes, visit Audible.com/safeman.
