‘Jackass’ Star Steve-O Announces Plan to Get Breast Implants

Steve-O is taking his love for pain-inducing pranks to a surprising new level.

While appearing on the “X5 podcast,” the “Jackass” star, 50, revealed that he plans to undergo breast augmentation for an upcoming comedy act. “I came up with the idea a few years ago to get a boob job and film a bunch of really funny hidden camera pranks with me in disguise, then revealing who I actually am,” he explained.

The stuntman added that the idea fascinates him because it embodies the essence of his comedic style. He believes it offers a unique opportunity for humor due to the level of commitment required. Steve-O, who is gearing up for his “Gone Too Far” tour, has already consulted medical professionals and scheduled his appointment for the procedure. The exact date, however, was censored during the interview.

“I spoke with the doctors and said, ‘The one thing I’m really freaked out about, and would back out of, is if I’m going to be a mess afterward,'” he recalled. The reality star, born Stephen Gilchrist Glover, clarified that the augmentation will be temporary. “I’m only going to have it for a maximum of two months, then they’re coming out,” he stated.

Steve-O is no stranger to on-screen pranks. “The doctors are completely unfazed; like, ‘Two months, it comes out, absolutely no issue,'” he added. A full recovery from breast augmentation usually takes six to eight weeks, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, though some people may feel normal around one week post-surgery.

The comedian explained that he has already set the bar for his pranks so incredibly high that he now has to “push things too far” to raise it. “In the spirit of ‘Gone Too Far,’ getting a boob job is a nuclear move,” he said. “All kinds of people are going to hate on it, and so many people are going to know about it that I’m looking at it like a numbers game.”

In the interview, Steve-O also spoke about other body modifications he has undergone over the years. “I’ve always been a body modification guy, with my whole back tattoo and butt piercing. Body modification has been part of my deal, a lane in my art since the beginning,” he explained. “And this level of commitment to this bit, how nuts it is—I believe in it, and I’m going to go ahead and do it.”

On Instagram, Steve-O jokingly admitted that he said “way more in this interview than I should have.” “But fuck it! My life is about to get properly crazy,” he added alongside a clip from the show.

Steve-O had previously joked about his interest in undergoing breast augmentation surgery. “There’s some straight curiosity. As a heterosexual man who identifies as male—does getting a boob job mean I can’t post pictures on Instagram with my shirt off?” he asked Doctor Mike in an October 2022 interview.
