James Middleton Issues Heartfelt Plea After Receiving Sad News

James Middleton is well-known for his close bond with his canine companions, including his late dog Ella, who provided immense support during some of the toughest times in his life.

On Saturday, James, the brother of the Princess of Wales, read a heartbreaking story from Ramón Alberto Piriz. Ramón was traveling from Argentina to Morocco with his cherished dog, Sombra. Due to Air France’s cabin restrictions, Sombra had to travel in the cargo hold.

However, during a layover in Paris, Ramón received devastating news: Sombra had been lost by the airline. Following this unfortunate incident, a friend of Ramón’s started a petition, which quickly drew James Middleton’s attention.

James took to his Instagram Stories to share the petition, urging his followers to sign it. He added, “This is so sad. As someone who travels regularly, this is my worst nightmare.”

Tagging the airline in his story, James pointed out the significance of the date: “It’s International Dog Day on Monday.”

Last year, James and his wife, Alizee Thevenet, welcomed their first child, a son named Inigo. While James cherishes his family life, he has often credited his dog Ella for bringing him and Alizee together.

James shared a heartfelt message alongside a photo of Alizee, Inigo, and two of their dogs: “This special moment is all thanks to Ella. Let me explain; Alizee, Inigo, and all the dogs came to hear me speak for the first time about my book Meet Ella.

Ella introduced me to Alizee; a few years later, we got married, and another year or so after that, Inigo arrived. Ella and Inigo never met, but every moment Ella is with us. If it wasn’t for that moment…I wouldn’t have been able to capture this moment.”

James recounted their sweet meeting story in 2021 to the Telegraph. “Ella was lying at my feet under the table; realizing she might want some water, I trusted her to take herself over to the water bowl across the terrace,” he said.

He continued, “However, she made a beeline for Alizee. Rather embarrassed, I went over to apologize and bring Ella back. But Alizee thought I was the waiter and ordered her drink while continuing to stroke Ella, who by then was on her back lapping up the attention.”

“Little did I know,” he added, “but I had just met my future wife, all thanks to Ella. If I hadn’t trusted Ella, I wouldn’t have brought her to the South Kensington Club that day, and she wouldn’t have been able to say hi to the woman who became my fiancée.”
